Twenty-oh-four...

Ahhh... the year that was...

Became a working girl, got engaged, I have a smart daughter, what more can I ask for? Twenty-oh-four gave me the opportunity to do so many new things, meet so many new people, and keep and cherish old relationships. Of course, there's always going to be drama, but isn't drama the spice of life?

A year's worth of happy and sappy moments, of pulse-racing and boring instances, of comedic and melodramatic stories, all recorded in my blog. I'm so proud! The longest time I kept a diary was for a year, and here I am, still updating my blog as often as I could after a year and seven months.

Here's to another year of blogging, stories, and cigarette breaks!

Have a great year everyone! ^_^

My Grammy Awardees

Here's who I'm rooting for in the following categories:

"Here We Go Again," Ray Charles and Norah Jones
"American Idiot," Green Day
"Heaven," Los Lonely Boys

My votes are not based on any musical know-how, on recording or producing or writing the song. My choices are based on my appreciation of the artist, the song writers, the songs, and of the record. I hope I don't get any complaints that I should've voted for this artist instead of that one, because, hell, IT'S MY VOTE, so there =P

After Two Weeks

Gawd, it's sooo goooood to finally post an entry after more than two weeks.

Badminton, spanish classes, Christmas party presentation practices, and shopping, shopping and more shopping kept me from the computer and posting an entry. Well, our DSL connection also got disconnected for a few days, hehehehe.

Since I've been a busy bee for the past few days, plus the winter-wonderland aircon settings in Meralco, I'm down with colds, coughs and a slight fever. I've had the cold for two days already, and yesterday, I felt my body was warning me that I was going to be sick (throbbing head when I woke up, snot coming out of my nose... oops too much information hehehe). Good thing I was able to muster enough strength to go to our office's Christmas Party, shop in Robinson's Place Manila, and then go to another Christmas Party at night.

That's why when I woke up this morning, my body just didn't give me a warning. It slapped me on the face and said, "Dammit, you're sick, stay in bed".

But I can't!!! I still have to go to Robinson's Place Metro East to pay for my gym bills, shop for my brothers' and sister's gifts, and then wrap all these gifts for my family.

Ang haggard! Pero parang ang saya pa rin hehehe...

Toodles for now! ^_^

Ang Galing Naming Sumayaw!

Sumusunod sa galaw mo
sumusunod sa galaw mo

Ang galing ang galing kong sumayaw
Ang galing kong gumalaw
Ang galing kong sumayaw
Ang galing kong gumalaw
Ang galing kong sumayaw
Bibong bibo gumalaw

Kaya nyo ba'to? Kaya nyo ba'to?

gooooooooooooo WHITE!

---

White team decided to go the "jologs" route for the cheering competition, which explains the songs above. (Btw, the first song is from the Jaboom Twin's Sumusunod sa Galaw, and the second song is from Vhong Navarro's Totoy Biboy.) The other songs we used were Sandara Park's Walang Sabit and Gladys and the Boxers' Sasakyan Kita. For the pyramid, we chanted the Masculado's Jumbo Hotdog (Kaya Nyo Ba'to?).

warning warning! novelty song overload! OVERLOAD!

Sadness though, we only won third place. Second to the last place yon kasi there were only four teams eh.

Sorry kung mejo blurred pala yung pics, yan pa lang yung nakuha kong pinakamatinong pics from the cheering competition eh. Hahaha, ako pala yung pinipicturan dyan ^_^

goooOOOOOOOOOO WHITE!

---

p.s. let's all pray white wins later against the red team sa last badminton game for the elimination round. sana makapasok kami sa top 2 teams for the battle for 1st. woohoo!

Help!

Soluziona is going to have its Christmas party on the 11th, with a Going-To-The-Movies theme, wherein we will have to wear costumes and dress up as characters from movies.

I need a costume.

The only thing I can think of right now is to dress up as Dorothy. Nyork, parang ang baduy. Or as Go-go kaya from Kill Bill? Di puede, she's wearing an uber-short skirt.

Aaargh. Wala akong maisip na matinong costume!!!

And one more itsy-bitsy thing.

The newbies have to perform for the party. Waaaaah!

[Whew, oks lang yan, nakapag-ipon-ipon naman na ako ng kapal ng mukha eh hehehe.]

The idea for the presentation is to present a medley of song/dance numbers from certain movies, like the Jingle Bell Rock dance of Mean Girls, any dance from Grease, the Wishin'-and-Hopin' opening number for My Best Friend's Wedding, or the Soul Train dance number of Natalie in Charlie's Angels.

But we need more ideas. [10 minutes max lang naman yung presentation, pero feeling ko kasi parang tig-wa-one minute lang each song/dance number from a movie eh] Para we'd have more options to choose from.

And so...

Any ideas for my movie character costume?

...and...

Any more song/dance numbers from movies that you may know of?
