Over

I thought it would last longer. Or maybe I thought we were *in that phase* but we weren't. Anyways, the bubble has popped, the rose-colored glasses are off, and the veil is lifted.

And I'm missing it already.

---

Last Saturday, Dar took me to his HS friends' inuman party to celebrate a friend's birthday. The last time I joined such a gathering was seven years ago when he introduced me to them as his girlfriend.

Now he introduced me as his wife *blush*.

---

Because the drinks were flowing, I seriously needed a smoke to keep myself from being bangenge. After mustering enough courage (and beer), I asked Dar if I could have a smoke.

He stood up and handed me the pack of cigs.

---

I told him I'd just have one, but the Strong Ice beer was giving me a *whapak*, so I was able to have 3 smokes for that night.

He insisted he have a smoke too during my first cig, but then I said, "Wag na". I know he just wanted to prove something -- which, I think, is the worst reason to light up a cig.

Later on, as I injested more beer, I asked him to light one. And so he did. I'm such a bad, bad, bad wife.

---

One of the reasons I asked for a second cig was Dar's ex arrived that night.

He fidgeted a bit when he learned they were already downstairs. He said he was kind of weirded out by the ex, because during their Friendster-messaging sessions before, he learned that when they made out seven years ago, she already had a boyfriend.

So many buttons pressed by those statements.

Why are there Friendster-messaging sessions?

Why do you have to bring up that make-out session? [Background: the party I was talking about seven years ago, when he introduced me as his girlfriend? Same party, later time, me already at home, he made out with his ex for old times' sake. I really cannot understand how boys can be so shallow and insensitive.]

Why are you affected that she had a boyfriend then?

Answered by: wala lang yon, sorry and akala ko kasi mabait sya eh.

I just had to give a serious rebuttal to his last statement: Mabait ba yon, alam nyang may girlfriend ka, tapos maghahalikan pa kayo?

Maybe that's why I had no prob scoring those cigs hehehe.

---

He has released an official statement regarding my smoking: He will let me smoke, but he will not take care of me or pay for my hospitalization if I get a smoking-related disease.

Fair enough?

---

He asked me if I smoked in the office. I answered meekly with "minsan" which is overstretching the truth. He said he's not bobo not to notice that I reek of smoke when I get home.

Hey, I put on cologne naman ah!!! :P

And to end this post, let me give a love tip from Purple Ronnie's Little Guide for Lovers:

A Big Thank You!

Ramil rules! To a genious Computer Engineer, a fellow blogger and DSP enthusiast (mwahahahaha!), and a very very very generous friend:

Thank you thank you thank you, Ramil!!!

...for sponsoring a Flickr Pro account for me (and sige na nga for Dar na rin yon -- nagtatampo, bakit daw mga friends ko mga wedding gifts nila para lang daw sakin hahahah)!

Susulitin ko talaga yang account na yan! Will upload the wedding pictures soon :)

P.S. I still owe you a Image hosted by Photobucket.com hehehe ;)

P.P.S. Some pictures I've already uploaded to my Flickr account are here.

Back to the Lab

Cue in Back To The Lab by Prince Paul from Dexter's Laboratory - The Hip-hop Experiment

Back to work after a glorious two-week vacation. Haaay.

Monday came, and I was late, of course, to my first day at work as, ehem, Mrs. Tantan - Dela Cruz. [That's the way I intend to *change* my surname - I'll be a hyphenate].

Yes, parang grand entrance hahaha.

---

But everybody was really more into collecting pictures from the Decada Party, which was held last Friday at the Oasis. Saw some pix [look here and here], heard some kuwento, gathered some tsismis regarding the week-long anniversary celebration of our company. Okay, wasn't feeling like I missed HALF my life by missing the week-long celebration. I'm still in hehehe.

---

Oh and a new guy came, so I didn't really feel like I was the only one who wasn't part of the celebration hehehe. And he sits right next to me, so I'm kinda *ilang* because it's been months since I had a seat-mate.

---

By Tuesday, I was given work already [Monday was like an adjustment period] and I felt the stress of work creeping into my body. And the winter wonderland temperature at our office was giving me a severe headache. Aaargh. Vacation over, missy, it was really back to the grind for me.

---

I didn't what was with this week, but aside from me going back to work, it was like the return of the glutton for me. I was eating more than 3 times a day again!!! Blech!!!

We've been ordering from Jollibee and McDo like crazy -- Jollibee breakfast last Tuesday, McDo lunch for Wednesday and Thursday, and breakfast for Friday. I'm getting super-sized with all these fastfood take-out and deliveries. [Oh, and I ate KFC Hotshots for lunch last Monday]

Lunch pig-outs were also abundant this week. I ate a hefty lunch from Oyster Boy with Andrei last Tuesday. Aligue rice, pork ginamusan and grilled oysters with cheese and garlic are just too good! Then yesterday, to celebrate the success of the anniversary celebration, those people who helped out the committee were treated to lunch at Paluto @ Palengke (Dampa) in Ortigas Home Depot. And oh.my.god. Food just kept coming and going and coming and going and coming and going. There was liempo, barbeque, tempura, baked tahong, crab, shrimp, sinigang na bangus, chopsuey [sp?], and seaweeds! Ka-bondat-an to the max!

---

Okay, haven't been into just eating and eating and eating this past week, but I've been chosen (naks) to be part of the Java training in our head office. It's just a small group -- how small can you get with 4 people in the group in a cramped meeting room in the head office? :P Anyways, I'm already familiar with Java, since I did work with Java for a semester in college, and I've already gone through 2 enhancements for MMS. But I feel like there's still more for me to learn specially the theories regarding Struts and JSP's. Naks. :P

Downside is we have a session this Saturday, in like, an hour and a half, so I have to get ready to go to Eastwood. I might have to buy a Venti latte to ward off the sleepy Saturday mode.

Toodles! ^_^

Bohol!

waiting for a jet planeA Delayed Flight

As we drove to the airport, I was feeling queesy, as this was the first time Dar and I would be travelling alone, without other older adults. This was my second time to travel *domestically* (is there such a term?), as the first time was Cebu together with my laboratory mates. I was disoriented at first when we arrived at the airport, as I was expecting the small building of the Cebu Pacific airport (that was the image I had of the domestic airport kasi). Gawd, the new airport was spanking clean and huge! We could get lost in here!!! I got a bigger knot in my stomach, because I realized I would be the one guiding Dar inside the airport (he last set foot on a plane when he was 8 years old), but I absolutely had no idea where to go too! Good thing there were lots of signs and lots of people directing us where to go. Hooray for the new airport hahaha. [But the terminal fee is quite steep ha.]

Our flight to Bohol was supposed to be at 8 a.m., that's why we were already checked-in and waiting at the terminal by 7:15 a.m. But unfortunately, our flight was delayed to 10:15 a.m. Good thing I brought my discman (I know, I know, an ancient mechanism) and some books, while Dar busied himself with his cellphone games. Oh, PAL gave a free breakfast to all delayed passengers to Bohol, an empanada and brewed coffee from *.

Before 10 am, they asked us to board the plane (yahoo!) and by 10 am, the plane took off and we were off to Bohol! ^_^

at last!Panglao Island Nature Resort

To cut costs, we availed of the PALakbayan package for Panglao Island Nature Resort for their bungalow room with jacuzzi (yeah baby yeah!). Well it's not really cutting costs because the jacuzzi room is the most expensive room in PINR, but it was soooooooooo worth it.

Our bungalow was walking distance from the main lobby hut. It had an AMAZING view of the sea and shore - from the bed, from the bathroom, from the jacuzzi, from everywhere! We were, I felt, surrounded by the blue sea and green foliage. The bungalow was right next to the second access steps to the beach, so I only have to go down these steps and viola, beach na agad! :)

Ang ginawa namin on the our first night and day on Bohol? Eh di syempre, K lang ng K and S lang ng S :P

That is Kain lang ng Kain and Swimming lang ng Swimming (sa jacuzzi nga lang :P).

Ops, before your dirty minds go into overdrive, we ate LOTS of food for lunch and dinner, and just sat our bums on the jacuzzi for the longest time. The food was great!!! Just like you're eating out at a mid-price range resto (like Gerry's siguro or Dencio's), and super sarap pa. For lunch, we ate crispy pata and chicken binacol with bagoong rice, together with a mango shake and buco in a shell. Then for dinner, we had kinilaw na isda (for me), sisig, cream of corn soup and pancit -- I know, I know weird combo of dishes hehehe. Then to jazz up the jacuzzi experience, we ordered a tequila margarita (for me) and a mango cooler (for Dar) for us to drink while we lounge about the warm bubbly waters.

preparing for the tourTour of Bohol on the Second Day

Click on the image to the left for more pictures!

We went to the usual Bohol tourist spots: the Blood Compact shrine, Baclayon Church and Museum, Chocolate Hills, passed by the Man-made Forest (gawd, it was really creepy passing by those trees), then had lunch at Loboc river, and then went to see the tarsiers.

While we made our way to the Chocolate Hills, it was raining so damn hard, I thought our tour was ruined. But then, Dar was still game, and even though it was raining hard and the wind was blowing every which way, we made our way to the top of the viewing spot.

And the view of the hills was soooo worth it. It just blew us away. After a while, the rain stopped, and we took our time taking in the sights, and taking pictures of course, of the famous hills.

Before I forget, when you go to Bohol, and you go see the tarsiers, please please turn off the flash of your camera. Some tourists who were there when we went to see the tarsiers were so kulit and still used their flash :( Grrr.

goodbye bohol!Good-bye Bohol!

Click on the image to the left for more pictures!

Before we said good-bye to Bohol, we ate a hearty breakfast (buffet, at last!!!) and I took time swimming in the beach and the pools of the resort while Dar took pictures of me (nasanay ata ako sa pictorials for the wedding -- gusto ko lagi may nagpipicture sakin hehehe).

Then we had a humongous lunch of calamares, pork sinigang and again bagoong rice (super yummy -- meron pa talagang green mango slices). Yes, this honeymoon was really a food trip -- we didn't do anything but eat, eat and eat!!!

We got to the airport by 3:30pm for our 4:50pm flight, which was delayed (of course! PAL stands for Plane Always Late, as my mom said) to 5:15pm. We arrived to a drenching wet Manila by 6pm.

---

Sooooooooooo happy with the 3D/2N at Panglao Island Nature Resort. Not just because of the sights, the ambiance, the food, the pools, the beach -- but because I got to spend some serious quality time with my hubby *blush*. I guess we needed a refresher course on keeping the flame alive *naks*. And I feel reconnected to him somehow, emotionally, romantically, physically and of course, ehem, sexually.

We hope to go back to Bohol, and still stay at PINR, this time with Darice. I just know she'll have a great time :)

See you next year, Bohol!

Looks like we made it...

september nine two thousand five

Final Stretch

Ah yes, cramming wedding preparations is just so ... me.

I just felt I had so much time to do these things since I've been on leave since September 1! But no, I still haven't done anything.

Add to that, Darius and I have been arguing over the littlest things. Mostly about my forgetfulness and spaciness, and about his inability to get his ass off the computer chair. Gawd.

Good luck to me tomorrow and on Friday. I'm sure to forget a lot more things. *faints*
