Today

Eight years ago from yesterday, I told you I liked you.

Today, I told you I hated you.

Seven years ago and fifty-one weeks ago from yesterday, I kissed you for the first time.

Today, I wanted to shun your kisses.

Seven years ago and three hundred fifty-five days ago, I gave it all up for you.

Today, I just wanted to give up.

Three hundred fifty-five days ago, I became your wife.

Today, I learned you weren't acting like my husband.

Nine days ago I thought I made myself clear on how I felt.

Today, I honestly don't know how I feel.

Yesterday seemed like an improvement.

Today it seems like it's all downhill.

Even though you're saying sorry today.

You're admitting your mistakes today.

You're begging me to stay today.

You're saying we'll start anew today.

But for me, its today I stopped believing.

Today, I put up my wall.

Today, I honestly have no more strength.

Today, tomorrow looks bleak.

Commercial Rant Muna

Two things made me very upset today (well, there were three, but the third one is a constant source of disturbance so what's new right?).

First up was news I heard on the radio that some politician was lambasting the UP Oblation Run, as well as commenting that UP was breeding destabilizers. I was seriously, tsk-tsking, and saying "ano ba yan" and rolling my eyes as Mike Enriquez was blabbing off about the politician. When Mike Enriquez commented Ang dami-daming problema ng Pilipinas, yan ang pinoproblema nyo or something to that effect (not a direct quote to ha), I was smirking in agreement.

Came across again the "issue" while I was browsing caffeinesparks blog. Searched INQ7.net, and here's the article.

Nakakairita talaga!!!

Is he serious about the UP Oblation Run? "Maybe we are going in that direction... there are now women running naked. I will not be surprised if they will go to school with only their books, nothing more" Is he serious about that observation?!?! Hello, one fraternity's tradition will not make or break a university's future.

That school breeds the destabilizers that haunt the country year after year. They are acting as if they are the only ones who know how to run the country.” I can hardly call helping out the farming community as destabilizing the government.

Ba't ba ako affected?!?

On Winning and Shopping

So how did I win?

First, of course, I entered a contest. What contest is this, you ask?

It's a monthly contest by Preview, the Preview Must-Haves. I entered the June edition, which was a shopping spree worth P25,000 from Topshop (just like this month's shopping spree from Wallis).

I already entered several contests before the Topshop shopping spree. I actually got picked already last year, but I wasn't able to claim the prize -- when I was informed, I was in Divisoria so I was hurrying up to finish the call. Good thing I don't know what I won so no panghihinayang there hehe.

The good thing about Preview Must-Haves is you can email as many entries as you want! And that was what I did. For a week or so, I would email 10 entries from my two Gmail accounts. As in karir!!! Hahahaha! It is a shopping spree from Topshop -- I really wanted to win :D

But I think the GCs are not for Topshop lang!!!

Okay, the GCs I got are Robinsons gift certificates. I kinda panicked when I first saw them, but at the back, it said that the GCs are accepted in the following stores:

Really sad post. Continue if you dare.

Four nights of controlling my tears at night (to save me from explaining my Chinese eyes come early morning at the office) has me crying uncontrollably this Friday night.

Un-migrating

Okay, I found it too tedious to add labels to 250+ posts for this blog. Besides, I was cringing at my brattiness and kababawan while reading my old posts.

And I really miss my template already. Huhuhu.

I guess I just have to wait for the official Blogger beta feature to add labels using the old templates.

[But the migrating was going to be a welcome distraction sana from current drama situation, but I think shopping at Topshop will be a more enjoyable endeavor hehehe]

Migrating

I've just migrated my blog to the new Blogger beta and I'm still tweaking stuff here and there so mejo magulo pa, hane? Pagpasensyahan.

I'm going to put labels on 200+ posts. Maryosep! Hahahaha.

Cebu, Part III: What We Did in Bantayan Island

Snorkeling

Manong from the resort arranged the snorkeling trip for us on our second day at Bantayan Island. Rent for the boat was 800 pesos, then it was another 360 peosos for 4 sets of snorkeling masks and life vests.

The boatman sailed towards the other side of Bantayan Island, to a small island around 20-25 minutes from the resort. After putting on our vests and masks, we jumped off the boat and explored the marine life of the Visayan sea.

The first thing you'll notice when you put your face underwater are these jellyfish-like creatures without tentacles floating in front of you. They were small, white and translucent, with the body resembling that of a bouganvilla flower (I miss having Tonton as our underwater photographer!!! Ang hirap idescribe ng sea creature na ito!) and they were EVERYWHERE! Manong boatman said they were jellyfishes too but they don't sting. Siguro naman since dinala nya kami don diba? Ehehehe.

There were fishies too, but not as much as I saw during our snorkeling trip in Galera. And we didn't have bread to feed the fishies so di kami masyado close. Cool sea creatures I saw were two huge blue starfishes hiding under some rocks/corals. Water was not really that deep because I got a few minor cuts on my feet from bumping into corals.

They're Back!!!

They are so freaking hilariously funny!!!

Nakakatawa sobra yung guy sa right pag nagse-second-voice sya ahahhahahahhahaha :))

And andun pa rin yung room mate nilang kebs hahahahhahahha :))

Blogger Beta

A new version of Blogger is rolling out in beta.

Coolness! :D

I did a tour of the new Blogger beta by using one of my Google accounts. Ayan, another cool thing about the new Blogger is that you can login using your Google account. If you notice, dun sa login page ng Blogger, andun na yun, either login with your Blogger account or Google account. [That was the first indication for me that *something* was up in Blogger and Google so I tried using my three Google accounts to enter Blogger but to no avail. *sniff*sniff* So I just used my Blogger account then went to Buzz, baka kasi nahuli na naman ako sa balita. But no, it was something new that Blogger is offering its ... ahm... bloggers.]

Anyhoo, the new Blogger beta looks and works really cool, especially with those who want to fully costumize their blog's look and layout without having to deal with HTML. You can assign labels (I guess this would be their version of categories) to blog posts very easily. However labels will not work if you use old templates; your blog should be converted to the new layout system of Blogger beta. Another cool thing is you can control the people who can read your blog (either thru a Google account or as a guest with two-week access).

Commercial Break

Just a quick break from the Cebu-trip-related posts. :)

Okay, changes are up in the office which are definitely going to affect my workload and responsibilities. Proposed changes are still far off in the future (yeah right, I'm just trying to make myself feel better haha), but right now, my knees are starting to shake already. A teeny-tiny module is making me nervous as hell, but I think I'll do fine with the other modules.

Naks, overconfident??!? I guess trying to compensate for the non-presence of confidence for that teeny-tiny module. Haha.

So if I'm your YM buddy, and saw my YM status, now you know why it was "anong nangyari?!? biglang nagbago ang mundo ko? waaaah". Hehe.

Cebu, Part II: Kota Beach Resort

Because of Anton, I decided that we should book ourselves in Kota Beach Resort for our stay in Bantayan Island. Anton's pictures of the resort were breathtaking, and I couldn't wait to get to see it for myself.

We were picked up by Manong (we forgot to ask for his name, sadly, for our entire stay there) from the resort when we docked at Sta. Fe. It was a 10-minute ride (or less pa ata) from the pier to the resort, in a small open-air vehicle like a jeepney, but a much smaller version. It was a short ride that showed the easy-going way of life of the people in Bantayan Island -- pedicabs and trysikads were, I think, the mode of transportation for most Bantayanos.

Cebu, Part I: The Trip to Bantayan Island

There are many ways to get to Bantayan Island. However, the four of us decided to ride a bus from the City North Bus terminal to Hagnaya Port, then ride the Aznar fastcraft to the island.

So I devised this itenarary:

5:40 AM Meet up at airport
6:40 AM Departure
7:50 AM Arrive in Cebu
8:30 AM From City North Bus Terminal, depart for Hagnaya Port
11:00 AM Arrive in Hagnaya Port
11:30 AM Depart for Sta. Fe (Bantayan Island)
12:00 NN Arrive in Bantayan Island

Tight, right?

Oh well, according to Anton's blog, the schedule of the fast craft was around 11-11:30am so we wanted to make sure we'd be able to make it in time.

But then, fate intervened.

Mellon Collie No More

Okay, don't mind that very sad post before this. Hormones were going haywire that night. *sigh*

Anyhoo. Tomorrow we're off to Cebu!!!!!!!!!!!! *tumbling*

But I have got to finish work by today. Eeeek. *cross fingers*

Ooooh. Don't foget to get a copy of Manila Bulletin this Saturday. You might see a familiar face there ;) Sige, since the Manila Bulletin on a Saturday is pretty thick, I'll give you a clue where to look: the About Weddings section. *teehee*

I do hope I could buy an issue on Saturday. *cross fingers again*

Thanks to basangpanagip! He's giving me loads of traffic lately. Loads as in my blog visitors have more than doubled -- from 30+ to 70+ visits per day nyahahahahahha. Yeah yeah I know, those stats are miniscule! And they stay like for a few seconds only. *teehee*

Might not be able to post later tonight as I'll be packing up my stuff, so adios amigos y amigas, hasta luego, verte el Lunes!
