The Number of the Day is Three

Last year, when my blog turned two years old, I posted an article regarding blogging and masturbatory writing.

This year, the day just came and went. Hehe.

---

Haaay, it's been a long time since I had a decent post about something. The past few posts, all I write about is an update on my daily activities. Mundane, I tell you.

I want to sit down and clear my head and write.

I want to write good stuff. [The fact that I'm using the random word "stuff" is a clear indication that I am experiencing a severe case of writer's block.]

I want to write.

And although I have slipped again into the dark world of uninteresting writing, there are so many wonderful tales I have in store for you. Problem is that they're all in my head, spinning 'round and 'round gaining more subplots and what-nots, which is giving me a hard time translating them into plain old words.

Just don't expect the next post to be all poetic.

Well, good thing this blog is not making any complaints. Hehehe.

Thank you, my blog, for sticking with me for the past three years [as if you had a choice]. You've been with me through my rants and raves and rambles, with the occassional whapaaaaaaak writing, and week-long hiatus(es?!).

Even though I am so not this girl anymore, I still have the same concerns, insecurities and bitchfests. But I think I can say I handle them in a more mature, less !!!!-filled, introspective manner. [Although I still am prone to rant-filled posts]

I guess you could say celebrating my blog's birthday is like patting myself on my shoulder. Three years worth of life here in my blog and yes, I've been through another year of evolving drama and high-hopes and laughter and love and surprises.

No, we have been through another year. Because most importantly, a blog (or any written material for that matter) is nothing without the readers. And I thank you, dear faceless readers, for dropping by, saying hi, perusing a few words here and there, writing down a comment or two. There really is nothing else to say but a very heartfelt thank you. :D

psst... yosi tayo Here's to my blog, to you my readers, and to me!

Something's Off

Ewan.

Parang may mali. Or kulang. Na parang meron ding sumosobra.

Something's not right. And everything seems to be wrong.

With the knot on my stomach getting tighter... I can't help think negative thoughts.

Something happened.

Something's happening.

Something will happen.

Na hindi ko ata magugustuhan.

Ewan!!!

I think I just might need a smoke.

Tara, yosi muna tayo.

The Weekend Update

And so it comes to pass that I cannot update this blog as often as I want to.

Even though I already have an internet connection at the office (yeyness!), I am exercising my discipline powers, that is, just checking my mail every so often, passing by those blogs only once and a while, and using meebo as my IM agent [yes, because for some weird reason, I cannot make the YM work for my PC]. And there's work, of course, to make it so easy to forget you just want to space out in front of the PC, bloghopping and reading those gossip blogs and searching for digiscrapping kits.

This week, I attempted the fruit and yogurt diet-kuno of Tonton. Well, I actually started Tuesday, because we went to the grocery Monday night [but I didn't eat rice the whole day of Monday, pramis!]. I bought yogurt and those fruit cups then those packed salad greens and tuna because I think I may need my protein.

So I brought baon for the next three days: salad, yogurt and the fruit cup. Oh and oatmeal din, pero once lang. And yipee, didn't eat rice at all for three days!!! :D Except for last Friday, for the weekly MMS LO, since we had lunch at Dencio's. Who wouldn't be able to eat rice if you ordered crispy pata, kare-kareng gulay and sisig?!?

Would you consider a diet successful if you've been eating dark chocolate kisses (which comes in purple packages, so cute!!!) and Ruffles and Lay's and chips ahoy and Pringles on the side? Ahehehe.

Oh well, will try to continue this "diet" for another week as the company outing is next weekend. Hehehe. Ang babaw ko, shiyet.

I did some shopping last Friday in Galleria, as the Robinson's Malls are having a 3-day sale, and better take advantage of that while I still have some retro and leave conversion pay.

Here are some of the things I need:

  • office pants

  • office shoes - high-heeled closed-toe ones [I am currently sick of my flats right now, and all of my high-heels are open-toe, which are a big no-no in the office, and although I usually wear them with my long pants (to hell with regulation office wear) they just released a memo last week so konting pakikisama muna hehehe.]

  • a black jacket

  • tons of undies - the labandera comes once a week only and it's rainy season pa, so I better have a stock of clean undies lagi

  • a few blouses

  • a new bag

Here was what I was able to buy:

  • office pants at Ensembles - 299 and 399 each, size L (meron pang XL ha, pero L kasya na sakin, ang saya! hehehe)

  • new pink wedge sandals from Janylin for 895 down from 1395

  • shirts - 2 for 500, mejo not that bargain price pa din, pero it was cute, and one of the shirts I bought was purple naman eh.

I'll be going to Robinson's Metro East later to score a few more bargains and buy those stuff that I really need hehehe. At least I can cross off the office pants from my list diba?

Dar, Darice and I went to Fontana yesterday with my family for my brother's birthday celebration. My little bro loves Fontana so much, that we spend his birthday there every year. [Buti na lang summer noh?]

I wanted to even out my tan, but lo and behold, after lunch, it was raining buckets already. Shiyet.

Around 2pm, the rain stopped, the sky still gloomy, and my two brothers, two cousins, my half-tita [she's my lolo's and step-grandma's kid], a yaya, and of course, Darice and I went to the water park ASAP to take advantage of the break in the rain.

Of course, Darice had her share of fun, especially with my two cousins [her titas!]. But I didn't get my share of the sun, bad trip! Ahehheehehe. Darice and I left the water park after an hour, as she just had coughs and a fever last week. Buti di nag-tantrums.

Since my family was planning to go back to Manila on Monday or Tuesday, Dar, Darice, my sister and I went home din yesterday. Dar has work today (Sunday), and my sister and I have work tomorrow pa.

[Rant mode ng onti: Dar was so masungit the whole day, aaaaargh!!! Tapos he had a sore throat pa, so he sounded so gruff and angry tuloy. Kainis. Kaya pumayag nakong matulog na lang sya habang nasa water park kami para mawala ng onti yung kasungitan nya eh. Hehe.]

And I'm off to the office this Sunday morning.

Toodles!

Stack It Up, Be On My Way

The Labor Day long weekend was spent at Pundaquit, Zambales in Patio Beach Resort.

We were supposed to go to Pagudpod and Vigan that weekend but there were logistical problems that might have us sleeping under the stars, so we didn't push through. Curious about Drei's experience at Zambales, we tried calling up every damn resort in Pundaquit but all of them were fully-booked already. Finally found the resort where Drei and his friends stayed, and thank God they still have room to spare!!! Whew. Ang hirap mag-summer outing.

Pundaquit is not a hip-happening place like Galera -- it's all about nature-tripping, swimming, and getting toasted by the sun! :) We went to the infamous Capones Islands by boat and tried to wait for the sunset (as encouraged by Drei) but we got worried it'd be too dark to go back to the mainland. But I got enough artsy-fartsy pictures, so I'm okay with that. And I got tanned. Yeah baby! :)

The next morning, Lory and I got up early for another round of roasting and toasting by the healthy morning sun. Although there is a long line of resorts near the beach, and there were lots of people and fisher-folk and boats littering the area, one just have to walk a few meters away from our resort to have a secluded area great for just lounging around. And great for swimming too -- no rowdy kids or teens, or leery men.

I'd recommend Pundaquit for a cheap, stress-free, relaxing weekend -- no worries about the food because the people from the resort cooked us dinner and breakfast :) [Mejo taga nga lang sa mga extra mattress, na walang beddings then you have to order extra pillow pa and blanket.]

More pictures from Ton.

Bisyo NightPepe LopezLining Up For The Shot

The Servicio and Calidad women's basketball teams had their much-delayed celebratory dinner last Friday, with guest-of-honor Pepe Lopez. He may not be as popular as Jose Cuervo, but he tastes waaaaaaaaay better than that damn El Hombre.

Okay, you do know I'm talking about tequila right? Hehe.

God, that night was all about bisyo. Food bisyo - KFC. Yosi bisyo - West Ice, Capri, Marlboro Lights (naubusan ng sosi yosi eh). Alkohol bisyo - Pepe Lopez, Vodka Ice and Vodka Cruiser.

Well, I had to go home early so Pepe Lopez just managed to get me all hot inside, but that's it. But I heard that Pepe had more of an effect on Abi. Better read this to find out what he did to her, hehe :)

And another outing last weekend [after bisyo night] to Fontana, for our department's team building exercises.

Had a blast playing dodge ball -- but we played the kalye version which is touchball. Tinamaan ako ng malupit sa likod! Ang sakit! Hahahha :))

After a fulfilling Jollibee lunch and some few minutes of relaxation, some of us went to the water park for an afternoon of swimming. Well, if you could call it swimming because all we did was "ride" the waves of the pseudo-wave pool and go around the "lazy river". Anyways, Darice really enjoyed herself, and that's why sinama ko sya dito sa Fontana :)

Dinner was the best! Liempo, grilled tilapia, itlog na malaat and kamatis -- kabondatan!!!

Then we had another round of team-building exercises, then after that a round of poker which I lost maybe because of the Shakers I've been downing since the evening started and the glass of Vodka Arctic I tried. At least I didn't get senglot and bangenge like some other guy in our team hahahahahahah :))

And when we got home, I slept around 4pm, got up around 10pm to check my mail then fell asleep again. Ang pagod ko hehehe!

---

And I guess you'd understand now why it took me so loooong to update this little blog of mine.

Aside from these outings and gimiks, I have work, and extra-curricular work too -- I think I may have digged my own grave when I asked to help out for our company outing preparations. Hahahha :))

And I'm preparing my travel photos for two photo contests this month -- one for the monthly Photoworld contest that the camera club will regularly join, and another one by HP, which is more expensive to join, but the prize is more $$cha-ching$$. I have the Bohol honeymoon pictures, Galera pictures, and humabol pa yung Zambales pics. I hope hindi puro boats and seascape yung mga ma-submit ko. =z

Good thing this weekend I'll just be staying at home and no other activities lined up. Unless somebody invites me to go to the beach again or a night of drinking. Kaladkarin ako. Hehe.
