Yesterday I thought it was just going to be an ordinary rainy morning, even though school and government offices were already suspended. Unfortunately, I still had to go to work, because our client hasn't made any announcements yet.
Before 9am, when I had my usual coffee and yosi break, the wind was already exceptionally strong -- it was harder than usual to light my cig, my hair was flying everywhere, and I even felt I was being pushed by the wind -- at more than 1*0 pounds!
Around 10am during coffee break [again?! yes, twas so cold kasi!] with the Pepe Lopez girls, we didn't even dare go out for cigs because all hell was breaking loose already because of the damn wind and rains. There was already news then of a tree falling on one of the cars in the parking lot.
11am the electricity was going on and off already inside our building.
Lunch time and no more electricity.
Finally, around 12:30 pm we were allowed to go home!
But how can you go home, when you look outside, you see this:
Itigil Muna Ang Pag-ikot ng Mundo
Puede bang maglaho muna sandali at iwanan ang mundong ginagalawan?
Sandali lang naman eh.
Sandali lang naman eh.
Gusto ko pumunta dito!

Distractions
I can't believe I made it through 4 weeks already without any physical harm to my body! Pero there are people commenting I'm losing weight daw ha, including my mom (who usually tells me I'm getting bigger everytime I visit]. Hmmm. At least one good thing is coming out of this funk.

Mababaw man, but I'm currently loving this video. Sobrang kulit kasi, and sobrang nakakatawa kahit ilang beses ko ng napanood. Darice absolutely *loves* these two Chinese boys lip-synching Jessica Simpson's A Public Affair. She mimics their actions, and doesn't sing along to the song, she also lip-synchs too! Hahahha. I'll try to make a video of her doing that nga so that the two Chinese boys can have some competition hehehe.
So that I don't have to go to YouTube everytime I or Darice wants to view the video, we downloaded it off YouTube! Yup! Just go to YouTubex, enter the url of the YouTube video you want to download, and then YouTubex will download it for you as a flash video. And then I downloaded a free FLV player so I could play the flash video. The FLV player I downloaded was a basic one, wherein one cannot really zoom in or out of the video, so di ganon kalaki yung screen size. If you find a better flash video player, please tell me :D

Cebu, Part IV: Back to the City
Sorry for the delay in the series of Cebu kuwento. Flickr is blocked in the office (boo!) and then at home, the keyboard is acting up.

The Aznar Fastcraft was scheduled to leave by 10:15am. We woke up by 7am, I think, ordered breakfast, and then Marjay and I had a last quick dip at the beach. And we all had dangsilog for breakfast, yum!
The Fastcraft was less comfortable -- well, that is, before it started sailing (?) for Hagnayan Port. It was kinda hot inside because it was enclosed, unlike on the ferry where we had the sea breeze just flowing inside. The Fastcraft had to move, and you should be sitting near an open window or door or whatever to feel the wind inside. I don't think those seated waaaaaaaay back felt any sea wind at all.
We contacted our rent-a-car service to pick us up at Hagnayan Port by 11:00am. We made it just in time! :)

So What's Next?
I played badminton last week after a long hiatus.
I still have pending posts regarding our Cebu trip.
I have, as usual, agreed to help out for our company's anniversary party.
The Natural training is supposed to start next week, but the lead PM is on leave.
I have two friends who just broke up with their significant others.
Darice got her report card and she mostly has Outstanding grades.
I'm currently loving the Chirashi Don of Teriyaki Boy.
Later tonight I'm having margaritas with the Pepe Lopez girls.

Can't Hardly Wait
I think Can't Hardly Wait started the teen movie trend AGAIN way back in 1998. The only teen movies I watched before this was the John Hughes films like Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, and The Breakfast Club. [Yes sadly, I haven't watched the ultimate teen movie Say Anything by Cameron Crowe] [And I think Clueless was way ahead of its time, haha]Okay, so, Can't Hardly Wait. You see Preston has been in love with A-maaan-daaah for like their whole high school life. And he thinks the big party after graduation as his big chance of professing his love for. Good thing because Amanda just broke up with her jock boyfriend -- Preston thinks it must be fate. He also thinks Barry Manilow's song Mandy playing on the radio on his way to the party is a sign. So, go figure. Hehe.
So that's the main plot. There are a lot of other subplots going on in the movie, like Preston's best friend Denise ending up locked in the bathroom with ex-childhood friend Kenny, a white guy that so wishes he was black. Then there's this geek William who's setting up Mike Dexter, Amanda's ex, for ultimate humiliation. There's a whole lot of characters in this movie, who are given the best one-liners!
And the quotes, man! This is one quotable movie I tell ya! Here's Preston's monologue:
Food!
Got this from kalories!

How do you like your eggs? Scrambled, either with cheese or mushrooms or tuna :D
How do you take your coffee/tea: Coffee please, no sugar, just cream
Favorite breakfast foods: Bacon and eggs! Ooh, and I love hungarian sausage too :)
Peanut butter: smooth or crunchy? I always buy smooth and creamy peanut butter, the local ones, like Yummy or Ludy's hehehe.
What kind of dressing on your salad? Vinaigrette! Kahit anong klaseng vinaigrette, basta hindi yung creamy dressing.
Coke or Pepsi? Coke light
You're feeling lazy. What do you make? Toast with Quickmelt cheese or cream cheese. Or tuna with egg on the microwave.
You're feeling really lazy. What kind of pizza do you order? All-meat
You feel like cooking. What do you make? Omelette de fromage. Or tuna with olive oil pasta!
Do any foods bring back good memories? My mom's cooking -- her special kind of spaghetti (that's why I don't eat spaghetti from fastfood joints or any pasta place) and her puchero during Noche Buena.
Do any foods bring back bad memories? Hmm... good thing wala. :D [Dati ayokong kumain sa Rodic's sa may UP Shopping Center. Pero I got over it din naman]
Do any foods remind you of someone? Puchero - my mom. Bicol express - my husband. Fried chicken - Darice :P
Is there a food you refuse to eat? Buro, yuck! The smell pa lang while it's being prepared ... *hurl*
What was your favorite food as a child? My mom said I really loved my junk food when I was a kid. Hehe.
Is there a food that you hated as a child but now love? Hmmm... vegetables I guess? Now, I would willingly eat veggies :)
