Continued from the previous post!

Just to manage expectations based on the title -- this is not about my love life, okay!

Earlier this month, I joined Purposeful Creatives' #Braver2018Challenge to help me set braver goals for 2018. (You can find more information about the workshop / challenge in a blog post by Arriane Serafico (founder of Purposeful Creative) on how to set goals for the new year.) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish the challenge but, I did do the pre-work and some of the missions. Now at least I have in mind what I want to do / be for this year.

(I might be able to tell you more about some of those goals in succeeding blog posts)

And I called upon some charmed friends to help me harness positive energies from the universe to help me with these goals 😉

Every new year, I make it a point to visit astrology sites to give me an idea what the stars have in store for me. The following forcasts are from Astrology.com and AstroProfile.

Career Creativity with simple practicality will have you chewing up projects and spitting out results.[3] You're pioneering and innovative ideas are the underlying reasons for your marked career and professional success this year.[4]

Finances 2006 will give you a bigger everything: larger sales, promotions, honors, recognitions, income. According to the site, "When the Moon travels through a sign of the zodiac that is of an element that is antagonistic to the element of our sun sign, we have the "blahs" or a bad hair day."

Some examples:

I realized that Dar and I have the same sun sign element, Air, so we both have the same "bad hair" or blah days. Could explain the monthly PMS-like attitude from him. Hehe.

According to the Stars

The following forecasts are by Astrology.com, Handbag.com, and AstroProfile.com. Suprisingly, the three sources agreed on several aspects of my life for 2005.

Deep Inside of Me January will be quiet. You'll also need some alone time during this month, especially around the 10th, when a new Moon will inspire you to get to know yourself better. [1] You'll be reflecting on the structure of your life, what you do, time with others and for yourself, and whether, in certain situations, you give more to others than you receive from them. [4]

Rock the Boat From the 20th of March on, you won't mince words when it comes to speaking your mind. Go easy on anyone less well-armed. That strong-willed trend will continue throughout April, and well past the lunar eclipse of the 24th, when it will be even harder for you to contain yourself. [1]

Certain individuals will want you to stay exactly where you've been and doing exactly what you've been doing. They'll try to restrict you because they're happy with things the way they are. Taking a tough line with them may be difficult. But if you can, you'll soon find that their attitude has changed, and they're far more understanding and far more co-operative. Be firm and follow your desires first, and the interests of others second. [4]

Dangerous Liaisons You may want to start by giving yourself some space in the realm of romance. Taking a step back from an existing relationship to look at the big picture isn't a bad idea in January -- and those who are single will be firmly in a 'my way or the highway' mode. [3]

Wow, looks like 2005 is going to be a very busy year for me. Good thing I have the start of the year to reflect, and the end of the year to rest. I'm really looking forward to travelling this year [I really hope those predictions come true!]. I'm also very excited about the career predictions, even though it looks like it entails more work. Kinda worried about the Saturn in the House of Love, but I do hope Dar and I weather the storm. ^_^

Wanna know your "bad hair" days for this year?

According to this, "bad hair" days or the blahs are caused by the Moon travelling through a sign of the zodiac that is antagonistic to the element of the Sun sign (that is, our zodiac sign).

The zodiac signs are divided into four elements: Earth, Fire, Air and Water. Think of antagonistic elements this way -- Fire scorches Earth, Earth traps Air, Air dries Water, Water puts out Fire. So when the Moon is in Leo (which is a Fire sign), and you're a Taurus (an Earth sign), you'd be feeling the blahs, because Fire scorches Earth. [If an astrology expert is reading this, and I'm wrong, correct me please!]

So, for 2005, here are the supposed "bad hair" days for each of the elements. I hope you plan your dates, appointments, gimiks accordingly ^_^

The Year 2004 for Aquarius According to the Stars

Being the astrology enthusiast that I am, I hopped over to Astrology.com to get my 2004 forecast. According to the stars, planets and the universe, my year will go as such:

OVERVIEW: You're aware of past mistakes in early January, and you intend to do better -- with or without help. The 6th opens your ideal window for starting, and you can expect a major breakthrough by the 21st. As February begins, an appreciative audience collects around your efforts. The professional and personal mix beautifully in the second week of the month, although the 20th takes some wind out of your sails. Luckily, your watery characteristics help you wring every drop of positive feeling from subsequent events. The tried and true is still a reliable fallback in March.

Hmmm... So, tama nga, mejo, kasi I've been soul-searching kanina while I was waiting for the wash cycle to finish. [Ganyan ako pag naglalaba talaga eh, napapa-isip ako ng kung anu-ano] Sana naman yung "major breakthrough" is a JOB! Sana kayanin ko rin whatever it is that will "takes some wind out of my sails" -- kakaumpisa pa lang ng taon eh pahirapan na nanaman?!?

March 21st showers you in delicious madness -- and by the 24th you're using it. Subversive acts have others wondering after April 5th. If your plans self-destruct on the 19th or 20th, at least you come out unscathed. Call this another learning experience, and be as gracious as possible about it starting May 5th. Between the 17th and 21st, a crisis of conscience brings questions about reality, but suddenly life is vastly better. If your luck seems uncanny around June 10th, at least it's with you until summer begins.

Ngarks -- ano kaya yong "subversive acts" na yan?! Iiral na naman ang pagiging stubborn ko malamang! Tapos bakit naman my "plans self-destruct on the 19th or 20th" eh birthday ni Darice non! Shet... baka mangyayari na yong naiisip ko na gusto ko sanang mangyari... ops ops ops, nope, hindi po wedding bells ang maririnig niyo ^_^

Uncertainty grows during the last week of June. Relationships are up for review through most of July; take a big step back and respect others who do the same. The tables turn on July 23rd, and you see many ways to use this sudden advantage. Push gently through early August; forcing it could ruin everything. Agreements are temporary after the 10th and may be null and void by the 30th. Sanity and respect gradually return in the first weeks of September -- you're very glad to see them.

Everyone relaxes or perks up after September 23rd. Your neighborhood or work is exactly what you need it to be. Commitments made on October 14th will keep you warm and satisfied when the tide turns on the 24th, and hardships beginning on the 28th fade like bad dreams after November 11th. From here to year's end it's a free ride, with the full benefits becoming obvious after the 22nd. December hosts an easy fight between you and the perceived forces of darkness -- by the height of the holidays, you're clearly winning.

Being the Cosmo girl that I am, I bought the January 2004 issue with the (free? I dunno, kasi dapat 100bux lang yung Cosmo, tas 120bux yung price for Jan) Bedside Astrologer 2004 written by Hazel Dixon-Cooper.

In April, you'll find a creative way to help a charity group and make a new friend in progress.
