Closing Remarks
Good evening everybody! I hope you're all still enjoying the party!
First of all, I want to say thank you... to Old Navy for my shirt, Dorothy Perkins for my shorts, Janilyn for my shoes, and Robinson's Galleria Department Store for my fishnet stockings. They were not really fishnet stockings in the first place, but when I put them on, well...
Okay, seriously.

Okay, seriously.
Extra Challenge goes to Potipot Island!
Or, the LS-IS project goes to Potipot Island for their team building!
Last month, the project where I'm currenlty assigned headed to Zambales for a day of team challenges in Potipot Island.
The challenges were to take place at the island itself. So after we settled-in a bit at the resort (after almost 6 hours of travel? or maybe 5 lang), we headed out to the island.

This time I'll be sweeter....
I've been meaning to write about two very important decisions I made this month but as it goes, December was and is always a very, very, very busy month. Last post was 19 freaking days ago... I can't believe I didn't post for more than two weeks! [Sorry for those who commented on the Pass the Cheer post, you'll get the card and gift next year na :( Sorry!!!!]
Okay so here it goes...
---
I was given the opportunity to take on a bigger responsibility at work.
Then I was also given more than enough reason to give up on D.
I was, to put it mildly, ecstatic over the opportunity.
I was, also to put it mildly, disappointed with his actions.
Both were chances to improve myself -- professionally and personally.
I wanted to accept.
I wanted to leave. [So what's new, eh? :P]

Worrying about my husband's CHARMING ways wasn't enough for me this week.
[Gets nyo yung CHARMING? Kung hindi, oks lang, if oo, HA!]
I had to be miserable about my hobbies and work skills, too :((((((
Oh yes, I have dugged up my hole again.

Har-de-har-hearts
I know, very very very late post. This was supposed to be posted the day after VDay. Wala akong kwentang blogger.
As usual, our department had to have a Vday gimik. We had to decorate our tables, and each "row" of tables were going to compete for the "best decorated" row. Yeah, yeah, wala kaming magawa sa office :P
I knew I might just faint with all the hearts and flowers and red objects I might just see on that day that I decided to have a little fun with our row's decors.
I was browsing TeamSugar when I noticed some of the users' avatars were candy hearts with personalized messages. Egads, I gotsa find that! Well all it took was a Google search for "candy hearts" to find the candy heart maker :)
So I made a bunch with really bitter and nasty messages.

I then cut them up, then cut up a few more red shiny hearts, and pasted them all over a black surface. Then I brought some of Darice's stuffed bears. This is how our table decor looked like:

Obvious Ba Na Busy Ako?
Antagal bago ako nakapag-update no?
Well, I was busy, and add to that, our wonky Internet connection at home.
---
It's basketball season once again and guess who is part of the women's basketball team? :P

Ch-Ch-Changes, Again
Sabi nga naman nila, the only thing constant is change, and totoo nga. Parang minsan nga lang, ang hirap maka-cope-up and feeling ko nahuhuli nako.

Okay, so tried frisbee finally last Thursday after work (kahit na may impending Reming on its way).
I suck at backhand, although Gli and Tito Rob (nakiki-Tito na rin hehehe, pero sya yung instructor namin nung practice) say na exponentially increasing ang husay ko sa forehand. Naks. Haha.
And, amazingly, nakaka-catch naman ako ng frisbee! May pasa nga lang ako sa arm and sa thumb ko dahil don.
Ang matinding problema na lang is running while trying to catch the frisbee. No, make that running lang talaga. Patay ang baga ko neto pag game. Aside from the yosi smoke I inhale everyday, meron pang *pweh* dust sa field. Ang usok!!! Lalo na nung Thursday, maya-maya nagkaka-"sand storm". Ang alikabok!
---
Gawd, the next two weeks at work are going to suck, and it's all my fault.
I have to bring out the whip ata.
Kaya namin 'to. Kaya nila 'to.
Punyemas, kaya ko 'to!!!
---
Okay, on a more cheerful note, Dar finally finally finally agreed to go on an out-of-town trip with me.

Let The Games Begin!
It's sportsfest season once again!
One of the reasons I've been out of commission from this blog of mine is that I was asked by one of the committee members to do the teaser video/flash for the sports fest. This committee member is one of the Pepe Lopez girls, so how can I refuse? :P
Anyhoo, I told her I'll try to learn Flash for the teaser. Pero di kinaya ng powers ko!!!! Ahahahaha. So I made do with what our PC had, and it was Windows Movie Maker.
So what do you guys think?
Hey, it's my first attempt at doing anything like this, so be kind :P
By the way, all video clips came from YouTube, thanks to the magic of YouTubex :) Props also goes to Super from eRightSoft. I was able to convert the downloaded YouTube videos from FLV format, converted them to WMV and used Windows Movie Maker to mash up the parts of the video clips I needed. Hanep! Hahaha.

Hmm.
Yes, can't think of anything to write about.
I feel like my mind is completely wrung out by now.
Thank God it's already the weekend.
Anybody wants to have margaritas with me tonight? ;)
Haha.
---
I know, really senseless post, but I just wanted to *do* something non-work related while I wait for 5:45pm.

Knot in my Stomach
I think I'm going to throw up -- in a few minutes, a colleague (naks, feeling adult talaga) and I are going to be the instructors for the Natural training for our "newbies" (in quotation marks because they've been in the company for a few months already).
Gag with me a spoon already, why don't you... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaagggh.
Actually, my colleague will be the one teaching today, and I'm just going to observe. You know, to see what will work with the kiddos, if too much tech was turning them off, or too much kenkoy will make them slack off.
And it will be my turn on Wednesday. Alone. Waaaaaaah!
Why oh why did I agree to do this?

Commercial Break
Just a quick break from the Cebu-trip-related posts. :)

Okay, changes are up in the office which are definitely going to affect my workload and responsibilities. Proposed changes are still far off in the future (yeah right, I'm just trying to make myself feel better haha), but right now, my knees are starting to shake already. A teeny-tiny module is making me nervous as hell, but I think I'll do fine with the other modules.
Naks, overconfident??!? I guess trying to compensate for the non-presence of confidence for that teeny-tiny module. Haha.
So if I'm your YM buddy, and saw my YM status, now you know why it was "anong nangyari?!? biglang nagbago ang mundo ko? waaaah". Hehe.

Sudden Change in Temperature
Okay, so I was making kuwento the last time about the Java training I was going to attend and the Natural training where I was going to be an instructor, diba?
Well, walang natuloy. I was not sent to the Java training anymore because I did attend already last year. And the Natural training is on hold because of logistical problems.
Pero naman, man, I was assigned another investigation task wherein I had to find out what was causing the discrepancy between amounts generated in a report, and the amounts being displayed in the online inquiry. Maloka-loka ako sa kakahanap ng cause ng discrepancy -- ilang simulations ng extraction of data ginawa ko, then only to find out that I was doing the simulations incorrectly! Gusto kong batukan sarili ko, aargh! *toink*
---
And diba I also mentioned that we're going to Cebu this August?
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Di na kami tutuloy :((

Early Morning Randomness
I felt extremely alone while I was watching the crossover episodes of CSI Miami and CSI New York last night [although I've already watched it last year pa ata because of downloaded copies]. Dar was busy with the PSP playing NBA Live 2006 while Darice was busy with NickJr playing Dora the Explorer games.
Oh well, we were busy doing our own things naman.
Maybe I just wanted a warm body to cuddle up with while I was watching my favorite shows.
---
My first love and I are back together.
We first met April of last year. I was floored by its 4gig capacity and 2MP camera. Back then, I didn't have an MP3 player and a digicam. That's why I felt it was sooooo perfect for me then.
Then I got a digicam and an iPod. Kelangan ko pa ba sya?
And then this sashayed in and screamed to be noticed. The only thing I took notice of was its Wi-Fi capabilities.
Good-bye first love, hello summer fling.

The Weekend Update
And so it comes to pass that I cannot update this blog as often as I want to.
Even though I already have an internet connection at the office (yeyness!), I am exercising my discipline powers, that is, just checking my mail every so often, passing by those blogs only once and a while, and using meebo as my IM agent [yes, because for some weird reason, I cannot make the YM work for my PC]. And there's work, of course, to make it so easy to forget you just want to space out in front of the PC, bloghopping and reading those gossip blogs and searching for digiscrapping kits.
---
This week, I attempted the fruit and yogurt diet-kuno of Tonton. Well, I actually started Tuesday, because we went to the grocery Monday night [but I didn't eat rice the whole day of Monday, pramis!]. I bought yogurt and those fruit cups then those packed salad greens and tuna because I think I may need my protein.
So I brought baon for the next three days: salad, yogurt and the fruit cup. Oh and oatmeal din, pero once lang. And yipee, didn't eat rice at all for three days!!! :D Except for last Friday, for the weekly MMS LO, since we had lunch at Dencio's. Who wouldn't be able to eat rice if you ordered crispy pata, kare-kareng gulay and sisig?!?
Would you consider a diet successful if you've been eating dark chocolate kisses (which comes in purple packages, so cute!!!) and Ruffles and Lay's and chips ahoy and Pringles on the side? Ahehehe.
Oh well, will try to continue this "diet" for another week as the company outing is next weekend. Hehehe. Ang babaw ko, shiyet.

I did some shopping last Friday in Galleria, as the Robinson's Malls are having a 3-day sale, and better take advantage of that while I still have some retro and leave conversion pay.
Here are some of the things I need:
Here was what I was able to buy:
I'll be going to Robinson's Metro East later to score a few more bargains and buy those stuff that I really need hehehe. At least I can cross off the office pants from my list diba?

Dar, Darice and I went to Fontana yesterday with my family for my brother's birthday celebration. My little bro loves Fontana so much, that we spend his birthday there every year. [Buti na lang summer noh?]
I wanted to even out my tan, but lo and behold, after lunch, it was raining buckets already. Shiyet.
Around 2pm, the rain stopped, the sky still gloomy, and my two brothers, two cousins, my half-tita [she's my lolo's and step-grandma's kid], a yaya, and of course, Darice and I went to the water park ASAP to take advantage of the break in the rain.
Of course, Darice had her share of fun, especially with my two cousins [her titas!]. But I didn't get my share of the sun, bad trip! Ahehheehehe. Darice and I left the water park after an hour, as she just had coughs and a fever last week. Buti di nag-tantrums.
Since my family was planning to go back to Manila on Monday or Tuesday, Dar, Darice, my sister and I went home din yesterday. Dar has work today (Sunday), and my sister and I have work tomorrow pa.
[Rant mode ng onti: Dar was so masungit the whole day, aaaaargh!!! Tapos he had a sore throat pa, so he sounded so gruff and angry tuloy. Kainis. Kaya pumayag nakong matulog na lang sya habang nasa water park kami para mawala ng onti yung kasungitan nya eh. Hehe.]

Toodles!

I did some shopping last Friday in Galleria, as the Robinson's Malls are having a 3-day sale, and better take advantage of that while I still have some retro and leave conversion pay.
Here are some of the things I need:
- office pants
- office shoes - high-heeled closed-toe ones [I am currently sick of my flats right now, and all of my high-heels are open-toe, which are a big no-no in the office, and although I usually wear them with my long pants (to hell with regulation office wear) they just released a memo last week so konting pakikisama muna hehehe.]
- a black jacket
- tons of undies - the labandera comes once a week only and it's rainy season pa, so I better have a stock of clean undies lagi
- a few blouses
- a new bag
Here was what I was able to buy:
- office pants at Ensembles - 299 and 399 each, size L (meron pang XL ha, pero L kasya na sakin, ang saya! hehehe)
- new pink wedge sandals from Janylin for 895 down from 1395
- shirts - 2 for 500, mejo not that bargain price pa din, pero it was cute, and one of the shirts I bought was purple naman eh.
I'll be going to Robinson's Metro East later to score a few more bargains and buy those stuff that I really need hehehe. At least I can cross off the office pants from my list diba?
